About Me

Katrina Pogue: My name is Katrina Pogue and I am a high school social studies teacher who currently teaches World and US History. I absolutely LOVE my job! In 2021 I had the best year of my professional career. I completed my certification through National Geographic, was awarded teacher of the year from the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, and in August I was honored to be accepted into the Fulbright for Global Teachers program. Since becoming part of the Fulbright program I have met others, who like me, want to make a difference by empowering our students to be the change makers of today. Next to being a mother, my greatest passion is traveling and meeting new people. One of my greatest joys is learning about new cultures, and bringing back what I have learned to my students.
